Paige Matthews
Name Paige Matthews
Age (I don't know how long after we're talking here, but with children, I'd take a stab at) Thirty-One
Race Witch/Whitelighter
Cannon/Original Cannon
Powers Suggestion
Appearance
To start Paige sports amazing dark chestnut colored hair. It reaches past her bust and is naturally wavy. Usually she prefers to leave it wavy because of the untamed quality it gives to her entire face. Plus it is more low maintenance that way. Though she will straighten it sometimes when she wants to go for a more defined elegant sort of appeal. Then there is the scent, it always smells like strawberries because of her shampoo. When there is a strong gust of wind you will definitely be able to pick up her scent among the rest, for it is so sweet that she doesn’t even need to wear perfume or anything.
One of the most alluring and definitely appealing features to Paige is her eyes, the dark russet color to them, the way they gleam and shine. It gives her a very friendly, charming and sexy sort of attraction. Many people will compliment them, though she personally finds nothing to special to them. After all eyes are eyes, there aren’t so many colors to pick from. But people find depth beneath them, and her dark brown lashes swept across them well.
Her faces is divine, with every accented contour, the rises and the falls from her cheeks to lips, to the nose and forehead, everything about it is stunning. Keep in mind though, everything is not always so perfect. She finds many flaws within herself, as many girls do. For example one thing she dislikes is her cheeks, finding them to be to rounded and plump, making them pinchable. She finds it makes her face look fat, though it really doesn’t. And her nose is one thing she dislikes as well, it isn’t sharp or pointy, but has a roundness to it, yet it suites her well somehow. Her lips are plump, at her cheekbones are just high enough to give them a naturally formed pout shape.
Paige's body is very well defined. Though she is not overly tall, standing at about 5'5. Her body is very lean and fit, and when standing properly straight she seems taller than what she actually is. On her left wrist, there is a small circular shaped burn, a souvenier from a demon attack. It’s only a shade or two darker then her skin tone which is a tanned ivory shade, so it’s only noticeable upon close examination.
Personality
The determination in Paige is unremarkable, people have always commended her on her ability to win and be great. From a young age it was decided that she cannot accept failure as an option, therefore fights to the bone for every little thing, never finding anything good enough unless she says it is. Paige loves to win, and be the center of attention.
For the most part, you need to be pretty self-sufficient and independent to be a witch and whitelighter. There isn’t that soft blanket to catch you if you fall. You need to be smart. Make the right choices, win favors in high places, etc. The whole idea of luck is nice and all, but without intelligence your doomed to fail. Paige is the same way, she has amazing powers, and over the years, she's learnt how to use them properly. Though she once was reckless with magic, using it for personal gain to fix all her problems, she soon learnt better.
Now that she's older, Paige has learnt a lot of things. She still sports her generally happy and whitty nature, and her children love her for it. She love's teaching them to use their powers responsibly, but the advantage that comes from the way that she's grown up, is she understands that soemtimes, they have to make mistakes of their own.
History
Life before the charmed ...
Paige Matthews is the fourth child of Patricia Halliwell, a good witch who lived in San Francisco. Unlike the first three daughters Patty had with her husband Victor Bennett, Paige was fathered by Patty's guardian angel, a whitelighter named Sam Wilder. Victor had left Patty and their children and never knew of Paige. Patty and Sam left the newborn baby to a nun, Sister Agnes, at a local church, fearing repercussions if the forbidden affair between a witch and a Whitelighter was ever discovered. They left the baby with a blanket and asked that her name start with a P, like all women of her immediate family.
The baby was named Paige, and adopted by the Matthews family. In her teen years, Paige was rebellious; staying out all night, partying with friends, skipping classes, talking back to her parents. One day, the three of them were in the car driving home, when they were involved in a car crash. Her adopted parents died, but she unknowingly saved herself from that accident by orbing out of the car. Not knowing what happened or how she survived, Paige took it hard and did a huge turn around. She stopped drinking and started to do well in school.
After graduating high school, she got into Berkeley due to good test scores and a strong essay on the death of her parents. When she finished college, she started working for South Bay Social Services, helping the poor, the disabled, and the elderly.
The search ...
A few years later, Paige attempted to track down her real family. She went to the police and learned of the church at which she was left, checked around and suspected she was related to the Halliwell sisters, but somehow never approached them about it, being that their mother had died.
Paige started to go to the club called P3, on and off again, because it was owned by Piper Halliwell, and because she felt like she belonged with the Halliwell sisters. One year later, when Prue died, she felt "magically" drawn to the funeral.
After the funeral, Paige unknowingly orbed out to avoid an attack by a demon. Her magical powers had been reawakened after Prue's death. Phoebe and Cole (who had been watching) attacked the demon, but he and Paige both escaped.
Family re-united ...
Afterward, Paige went to the Halliwell Manor. She was together with her sisters and the Book of Shadows for the first time, thus reconstituting the Charmed Ones. This reunion was interrupted by the demon, but Piper and Phoebe were able to get Paige to assist them in saying the spell which would vanquish him. Freaked out by what she saw, Paige ran off. She then went to meet the nun who she was given to as a baby, who told her angels left her at the church.
Paige was approached by Piper and Phoebe, who told her that, like Prue, she had the power to move objects with her mind: Telekinesis. Skeptically, Paige tried to move a candle by waving her hand at it, and failed. While saying that she must not be one of them if she could not make a candle move, she gestured at it again, and the candle disappeared from its stand and reappeared in her hand. Paige soon learned she could orb objects by calling for them verbally. Phoebe and Piper then took her back to their home and used a spell to summon the spirit of Patricia Halliwell to reunite the long separated mother and daughter, who told them the story.
Early Training ...
Under the tutelage of her sisters, Paige learned how to control her powers. Piper taught her the basics of potion making, and Phoebe lead her training in hand-to-hand combat. She quickly learned what she needed to know, making mistakes that helped her learn along the way. She also discovered that she could heal, only with Leo's help, and like all other whitelighters, she could also orb, sense charges and cast glamours.
Full Time Witch
Eventually, Paige moved in with her sisters and started fighting demons with them full time. The three of them faced in-numerable demons together and Paige fully replaced Prue in the power of Three. She became fully in tune with her powers, and even the headmaster of Magic School. Though, after a while, and the death of Paige's boyfriend, Agent Brody, Paige handed over Magic School to Leo and began on her path to being a whitelighter.
Settling down ...
While assisting one of her charges, Paige met Henry Mitchell. At first the two didn't like each other, but eventually they grew to like each other. He knows she's a witch and whitelighter, and is fine with it. The two were married and had a boy, Henry Jr, and twin girls.
